Alex Peskin, Therapist
M.Ed., Ed.S., LMFT
Alex is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. His work with individuals and couples is focused on helping to gain awareness and understanding of the strong feelings we have and what causes them. These feelings can often lead to difficulty staying on the same page with the people most important to us, but knowing how to express these strong feelings can actually be a powerful key to finding true connection and security with the ones we love. Learning about these feelings we have and how we can tap into them can create a natural tendency to connect with those around us.
Alex has interest and experience working with people of many different backgrounds. Alex understands that while we all thrive off fulfilling relationships with others, they are all unique, deserving respect and special care as much as any individual does. While there are many similarities from one relationship to the next, Alex is passionate about helping individuals and couples in the way that works best for them. The key building blocks of a relationship are safety, security, and trust. Counseling is a relationship of its own; therefore, he is sensitive to what will make people most comfortable and secure, allowing room for positivity and growth.
Alex believes continued learning and growth is important for everyone, so he is also actively working toward his certification in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and certification as an AAMFT clinical supervisor.
