Jamie is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia Southern University and has been in private practice with The Clarity Psychological Group since 2014. Jamie specializes in Relationship and Family Counseling, and Readjustment Counseling for Military members and Veterans.
With an integrated approach to counseling, Jamie employs reality-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and positive psychology as she believes in the collaboration of many approaches. Jamie believes that every person is entitled to the pursuit of happiness, and she strives to create a safe space for clients to discover the path to their own personal happiness.
Jamie’s strengths include working with clients who have experienced trauma (PTSD), issues including depression, anxiety, LGBTQ, sexuality identification, and marital/pre-marital issues. Jamie has experience in working with children, teens, adults, and couples. She incorporates the use of play therapy and art therapy with clients of all ages, as she believes that some of the most therapeutic experiences can be achieved through creativity. Jamie has a passion for advocacy, multicultural counseling and issues of inclusion and equity for women.
