ABOUT THE OWNERS   Daron and Brett Elam are the proud Owners of Summit's Edge, LLC. Together, they have worked hard to create a new concept for the provision of mental health. They have a tremendous passion for promoting positive change and work to strive for the highest standard of care for mental health and stand out experience for clients. Brett and Daron have been married for 7 years and are parents to two beautiful little girls. They take great pride in the fact that they are able to run the business and their household side-by-side.

DARON ELAM   Daron is the Owner, Managing Therapist and Clinical Director. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Counselor, a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and utilizes DBT-informed therapy. She prefers working with clients by utilizing Hypnotherapy and the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. Daron is also an AFAA trained yoga instructor who is currently in the process of obtaining her 200-hour yoga certification. She graduated with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University specializing in Trauma and Crisis Counseling. She has special interest in working adult men and women who seeking recovery from childhood sexual abuse or sexual assault. She enjoys treating personality disorders where there is a history of trauma. She loves to do self-discovery work with post-partum women experiencing depression and/or anxiety. Her preferred modality of treatment is hypnotherapy for working through phobias, severe anxiety and intrusive thoughts associated with OCD or PTSD.

He works with adult individuals interested in gaining insight about their unique life challenges and building the confidence to grow and to create the fulfilling life they desire. Alex also works with couples who seek a revitalized connection and partnership bond. Learning to reach for the person who matters most in your life and having them reach back with care and love is a delicate but powerful process. Alex’s ongoing training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy helps him to facilitate this process with sensitivity and patience. Alex also provides MFT supervision to students and clinicians working toward licensure, as well as clinicians seeking professional consultation.

Celia believes in empowering her clients to find meaning and purpose in their life through exploring their family culture, understanding their emotions and behaviors, and creating an open and welcoming atmosphere for all parts of her clients.

KIMORÉ REID   Kim is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Counselor specializing in intuitive therapy with older adolescents and adults. She is a culturally compassionate and LGBTQ+ affirming therapist who understands that every individual inhabits many socio-cultural spaces at once. Kim creates a safe space for clients who feel marginalized because of their cultural background, race, ethnicity, disability status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or spiritual beliefs. Kim also specializes in working with clients in the helping professions (i.e. counselors, social workers, caregivers, etc.) who are struggling with symptoms of burnout.

ALETA ROUNDTREE   As the Director of Operations, Aleta is responsible for all day-to-day functions of Summit's Edge and ensuring that all of our clients' needs are met. In addition to being part of our team, she is also a field advocate and community leader releasing her positive energy through her own non-profit, the  Ready Set Grow Foundation .

JUSTIN HO   Justin is the Communications Coordinator at Summit’s Edge, LLC. He seeks to create a vast network for the practice within the mental health community to provide clients with the resources to receive the greatest care. Justin also handles client relations and wants to ensure that each person coming through the practice has an exceptional experience. Justin is currently enrolled in the Master’s of Clinical Mental Health program at Mercer University with hopes to one day become a mental health counselor.
