I have specific interests in working with individuals who have experienced traumatic events or chaotic, unstable, or inconsistent relationships as well as body image related issues and disordered eating. I enjoy utilizing metaphor to increase awareness and understanding. I challenge my clients to connect with their emotions, their body, and explore how their experiences have influenced where they are in the present. I am a North Carolina native and have fallen in love with Atlanta since I moved here several years ago. I am a lover of football season, lake days, and my chocolate lab, Walter.

While it seems more comfortable to protect ourselves with anger or distance than expressing our genuine feelings, getting stuck in our comfort zone never stays very comfortable. We always have something new and unique to learn from our experiences. These moments and all of our experiences matter and should be respected and shared. So let's challenge ourselves, and create space to learn and grow.
I come ready to work in a partnership in an effort to turn the victim mentality to the victor mentality. I emphasize a holistic integration of the mind, body and spirit to facilitate complete healing. I believe that true peace comes in the ability to let go of what you can't control utilizing modalities such as DBT-based treatment, mindfulness, wellness and trauma-informed care.
